Blessings in disguise?!

I have a brother, many of you know him, his name is wayne, Wayne Gunnell just to be clear. (If i could this is where an adorable picture of the 2 of us at my wedding would be inserted, just use your imagination). Wayne has many health problems. For exaple, he is a diabetic (type1) and also on kidney dialysis. He is currently waiting for a pancrease and kidney transplant. Amazing right?! We think so, it would cure him of diabetes! Well Monday he recieved GREAT news that his wait should be coming to an end! They wanted him to be the next person to get the next available transplant!! He was so ECSTATIC he drove to my work, literally interrupted me while pulling color through my client's hair to tell me! I was so happy for him!

You know what happened next? Do you wanna know? Ok, ill tell you.

Wayne got into a car wreck Tuesday night. A head-on collision. My mom saw her beloved car at the junk yard (R.I.P). He was then pryed out of the wreckage with the help of the jaws of life. They helicoptered him to the hospital where he suffered a massive heart attack.

You see, nobody had known that Wayne had 100% blockage in his arteries! He suffered quite a few injuries such as; Extensive internal bleeding (really scary) a broken pelvis, a broken rib/punctured lung (that filled with blood), the heart attack, a burn from the engine on his stomach, other scrapes and bruises of course. He is still in critical care and cannot talk. But so far anytime he's been asked if he knows why he's in here (hospital) he shakes his head no. How heartbreaking for my mom to have to tell him. The doctors believe he suffered a heart attack and that caused the wreck. I cannot even imagine what must have been going through his mind those few seconds before he hit! I pray he cannot remember either, beacause that had to be the worst moments of his life. So where does that leave my one and only brother now?! For 1. the transplant will be postponed : (. But you wanna know where the silver lining is?! SO DO I!

jk jk, he did live, and thats a miracle. All I know is the Lord works in mysterious ways. All of our family and friends have been so over-whelmingly concerned and loving. THANK YOU! From the bottom of my heart. I feel like everybody has something like this happen to someone they love i.e. cancer, heart attacks, strokes, sudden death. I am just go grateful the lord didn't think his time is up, cause im selffish and im not ready for him to go yet! Thank you again for all your support, it means the world to me
Love,
Amber

*update*
Wayne took a turn for the worse this afternoon and his chance of survival has decreased. Sadly, they took out the ventilator but had to put it back in, along with 4 more tubes in his chest. He had 4 nurses, 2 doctors, and a specialist surrounding him last i saw. As bad as it is, the grim diagnosis is "hospital talk" I personally feel he'll pull through even now. It is all in the lord's hands Please keep him in your prayers, thanks again.

*update (monday)*
Early early this morning, they lost Wayne's pulse for a few minutes, they called my parents in immediatly. They got back home around 6 a.m. They got his pulse back and got him more stabilized. So far today some coloring has returned to his face which is a good sign! The doctors and nurses are telling the family to be close by, "just in case", In other words, their anticipating more close calls. ALSO, they discovered a staph infection in his blood! They're running a couple different anti-biotics through his system for the next 48 hrs. to try and beat out the infection. The timing couldn't be worse and hopefully they even CAN treat it. its just another complication that I think we all could do without you. Thank you for your sweet prayers, they make all the difference in the world!
